Principal’s Report What a busy week we’ve had. Swimming was a huge success and everyone had a great time. I was pleased to see everyone participate and try no matter what their ability level. Thanks to all the Whanau that came and supported the children at the poolside. We are now at the stage of building our prototypes for our bird feeders. This is part of a technology unit we are presently working on. By the end of the Term we should have some great looking bird feeders for the winter. We’re off to Cinderella tomorrow at CSR. A performing group are travelling around the country visiting schools. We’re really looking forward to it. Isla Bank School is holding a fundraiser on the 11th April. It is a quiz night over at the Winton Top Pub. Try and organise a team of 4 and come along to support us. The fee is $60.00 per team and included in the price is your first wine, juice or beer, snacks at half time and 5 raffle tickets per person. There are some great prizes, all of which we have had donated. Swimming is now over for the Term. The pool will be closed to the public on the 18th April. Could those that have bought a key for the season please return it around this date. We have been invited to a free musical performed by SIT in Invercargill. Please fill out the permission slip in the newsletter and return early next week. Please be aware that this performance may possibly be filmed for CUE Television. Your child/children may appear on this show. Should you not wish this to happen, your child will not be able to attend the performance. Have a great fortnight.
